Top notch Montreal cafés never to miss
Serious travelers, either for business or leisure, swear by caffeine to get them going throughout the day after a tiring trip. People from all over the world enjoy their coffee differently. The one thing that binds coffee lovers is their craving for a good cup wherever they may be.
Montreal foodie Enrico Frank Andreoli loves going to Crew Collective & Café for an excellently cup of coffee paired with house-made pastries. The bank-turned-café offers a neoclassical vibe makes for a great co-working space. Located on the fifth floor of Montreal’s Old Port flagship boutique, Ssense Café offers cold-pressed drinks from their market-driven selection. Its monochromatic and metallic décor can be a tad bit odd for a café, but it sure is enticing.
A stand-up bar found between the Place Ville Marie and Eaton Centre, Tunnel Espresso Bar is a little more color than cafés mentioned above. Their popular lattes, cortados, and mistos can be ordered through their app. Part bistro part café, LecBrûloir in Ahuntsic brews single origin coffee and serves resplendent blended coffee-based drinks. On top of that, Le Brûloir offers light meals, pastries, and sandwiches.
Also in Ahuntsic, Café Sandrino is a family-run café that’s inexpensive, light, and cheery, says Enrico Frank Andreoli. Their legit Italian espresso is perfect for those always on-the-go. Café Barista has been a strong contender in the local roastery scene over the last 16 years. Only last year did Café Barista join the coffee shop race by establishing a café in the Garment District.
